Er friends or fianc They didn t seem like real friends or supportive as they should be during this stressful time for her Just superficial friendsAlso this book and few other British movies have made me realize something about British humor that I don t like EVERYTHING going wrong in embarrassing or horrible ways Everything a character does having these conseuences that just make me cringe Right when ou read about them doing something anything ou know it s going to backfire and I could usually guess what would go wrong Ick just don t like that I m okay with some things having these kind of conseuences but not everything where the character just can t get a break It stresses me outThe footnotes were probably really fun in the printed book but a bit of a nuisance in the ebook Fun to read but harder to get toThere was also foul language than in other books I ve read of Kinsella and I didn t like that eitherMy not so Perfect Life is still my favorite from her I think I ll keep trying her books but this is the second I haven t really liked I m a little leery now So my books of choice tend to be cop andor lawyer books where they re trying to find andor outwit a killer After being on a role of reading some heavy duty material I needed something lighter Somehow I stumbled across this book on and I m so glad I didThis book reminds of something along the lines of The Holiday or The Wedding. Review posted on Mundie Moms Grown Up Book Reviews on 4202017I adore Sophie Kinsella s stories as ou already know but for some reason I hadn t read what is one of her highest rated stories until now I know WHY WAS I WAITING No idea truly except that I have that Busy Mama thing happening constantly in my life even as the mom of teenstweens So I purchased the audiobook aside Sophie s audiobooks a I really didn t expect much but I really really enjoyed it Other books in this genre even from the same author I didn t like Can The Proposal you keep a secret for example I can have a hard time relating to the female protagonist They tend to be very over the top clumsy and not very confident in what they do almost childish at times But this one was so enjoyable Both characters were successful in their own careers and happy about what they did but they also both had their weaknesses that the other helped overcomeThe witty back and forth was very fun And I loved that the tension between them was up until the last moment The writing was good way better than other works from the same author again comparing it to Canou keep a secret where the writing obnoxious with the thousands of in the dialogueIf Prey you like romantic banter this is forou This was a cute premise I really liked Sam and Poppy s story It was super cute and sweet But most everything else I couldn t really handle in this bookI did not like The hilarious romantic comedy from NUMBER ONE BESTSELLING AUTHOR Sophie Kinsella I’ve lost itThe only thing in the world I wasn’t supposed to lose My engagement ring It’s been in Magnus’s family for three generations And now the very same day his parents are coming I’ve lost it The very same day Do not hyperventilate Poppy Stay positive A couple of glasses of bubbly
