Relentless was the story of Kate Rydell and Vince Yarrow This was the first tale in the In Too Deep series by Jo Leigh a follow on story of Closer which was the story of Boone and Christie To better have a grasp on the series reading Closer is an absolute must In Closer Kate Rydell had played pretty much as one of the secondary characters She was or less one of the good guys who had had to help Christie in capturing her stalker Kate had been among the people who had to live under the radar because she bore the nowledge of what had happened in her former assignment as a Forensic Accountant for the UN She was reduced to stashing minibars at a hotel in Los Angeles trying to survive on her low income job She was fine living her lonely life until she had witnessed a murder in the hotel where she was working And as a result of the incident her life was once again about running staying alive and eeping the lives of her friends safe Vince Yarrow was the hot LAPD Detective in pursuit of the one witness who could testify against the shooters who illed his close friend What he hadn t anticipated was to find his witness Kate Rydell as astoundingly gorgeous and sexy and as stubborn as any person could get He was deeply intrigued with the woman whom he suspected was not who she pretended to be I must admit Jo Leigh nows how to weave an exciting and thrilling story I have truly enjoyed reading this story and couldn t wait to get on with the next series As the story unfolded I have understood a lot of the puzzles surrounding the circumstances of the Delta Force and of course the heroine of this story Kate Rydell Well written action filled romance about a homicide detective in LA pursuing reluctant witness fleeing shadowy CIA operatives Lots of intrigue complicated plotlines not enough romance But a good story nonetheless Man what I wouldn t give for a Vince Original Review 112706httpisntitromanticblogspotcom20When reading series I often worry about whether the second book will be as good as the first Relentless is as good as Closer Jo Leigh has created a cast of characters that you care about root for and a storyline that draws you in to its own little world Relentless is full of intrigue and romance one of my. Former forensic accountant Kate Rydell is living under the radar Currently she's stocking minibars at a sprawling Los Angeles hotel Trying to survive stay out of sightuntil she witnesses a shocking.
TI understand why they want to separate the danger and all but yet i can t help but feel they would be better euipped together It all comes out in the end but i felt they wasted valuable timeI read these out of order and they still were excellent I rated this one 4 star Couldn t get past page 60 Way too mysterysuspense for the Blaze line Kate Rydell has been working dead end jobs and living off the grid in order to avoid a group of terrorists that work for the CIA and want her dead While working as a hotel maid she witnesses a gangland slaying Kate uickly goes on the run Now the police want to uestion her the gang wants to eep her uiet and the terrorists are back on her trail Detective Vince Yarrow is desperate to talk to Kate The man who was Xenophon And His World (Historia Einzelschriften) killed was a close friend Vincenows that Kate saw the murder but he can t figure out why she won t tell him everything she sawThis is a category romance in the Harleuin Blaze line and another good story from Jo Leigh I liked both Vince and Kate I Geography of the Gaze: Urban and Rural Vision in Early Modern Europe kept hoping she would confide in Vince about what she saw and why she is running Katenew that if she told Vince the truth it would put him in the line of fire This book is part of a mini series I plan on reading the other books in the series soon My rating 4 Stars Jo Leigh has long been one of my favorite uick read authors Leigh starts Relentless at a dead run and Groove: An Aesthetic of Measured Time keeps it fast paced throughoutThis is the second of four related stories though Harleuin Blaze only identifies the last three as Leigh s In Too Deep mini seriestrilogy Unlike many short series where the only common links are characters and setting Relentless is part of an ongoing sub plot Hero and heroine are introduced and establish a relationship but whether or not they ll have a happily ever after really isn t resolved by the end of the story And yet when I finished the book I was okay with that The situation was a cliff hanger but notTo get the whole story be sure to read Leigh s Closer Relentless Release and ReckoningI also recommend her book Truth or Dare It was nice It had romance suspense conspiracy action Not to mention some steam i likeate how she evolves in the story how we get to One Wild Weekend know of what happened inosovo and get s us into the serie. Favorite combinations This is the first official book of the In Too Deep miniseries its main characters introduced in Closer Alienated from their families wanted desperately by their enemies this group of ex Delta troopers and civilians are fighting for their very lives With the use of underground resources assumed names and their own special talents they weave their way through a labyrinth of intrigue and betrayal relying only upon one another Kate Rydell was a forensic accountant for the UN when her life was shattered in Kosovo Now she leads a low profile life jumping from place to place setting down roots no where Only this time there s no easy way out Kate witnesses a murder and the cop assigned to the job Vince Yarrow isn t letting her slip out of his sight For Vince the death of a friend and finding out who illed him is important than whatever Kate is hiding from and he ll do anything to secure her testimony to put the murderers away except he hadn t counted on falling in love Kate would be putting her own life let alone the lives of the others in the group on the line if she testifies And falling in love would only get in the wayI love Jo Leigh s writing the tight spiral of suspense and tension that exudes from every scene she sets up The sexual currents between Kate and Vince are palpable their reluctance to open up and their eventual capitulation to feelings that neither one can afford are realistic in Leigh s portrayal These are characters that you can understand and commiserate with situations that raise your heartbeat and a love story that lingers long after the last page is turned 5 stars for this one Former forensic accountant Kate Rydell is living under the radar Currently she s stocking minibars at a sprawling Los Angeles hotel Trying to survive stay out of sight until she witnesses a shocking murder in room 1408 Now the last people who can help her are the police especially red hot detective Vince Yarrow Vince is relentless in pursuing Kate He needs information and her testimony pronto And he s determined to protect her even if he has to handcuff the sexy brunette to his bed But as the case starts to unravel Vince can t help wondering if he has to let Kate go to protect his own hear.
