G of value whatsoever to whole story In short I like to keep my reviews shorter than the work itself after all this book is five ounds for something they I feel Pullman wrote in less than an hour I can t call it a waste of time since it is so short you could finish it while boiling an egg but it most difinitely is a waste of money Again I love Pullman but this is simply a scam Avoid An utterly The Elephants Journey pointless waste of 5 A few hundred words that don t expand the world or the characters at all Nothing like the Friends in the North or Lyra s Oxford I think theublishers must be hitting hard times and trying to garner every Sklaven für Wutawia + Gauner mit der 'Goldenen Hand' penny they can Perfect companion to Phillip Pullman s world Sadly the change inublisher from David Finkling to Penguin means lower roduction values and a mismatch with the other two small. E not exactly as they seemIllustrated throughout by Tom Duxbury the erfect re entry for fans of His Dark Materialsand a wonderful companion to The Book of Dust Serpentine is a brand new special read for Pullman fans old and

As nice as the Changing Face of the Hero previous books did i really wait all year anday 499 for 80 The Undisputed Greatest Writer of All Time: A Collection of Poetry pagesnot happy no story as such what a shamesomeone is making money out of this sham I absolutely adore Philip Pullman but this book is so blatant an attempt torofit from the world of his dark materials that I can t help but feel slightly insulted by it The book consists of only fifty StoryBranding: Creating Stand-Out Brands Through The Power of Story pages half of wich constitute the intro and notes The story itself lasterhaps 20mins to read if done slowy and aloud There is no story no It's A Wonderfully Sexy Life plot no happenings of any kind This feels most like a scene that was edited out of a complete book It is nothing like hisrevious short stories which were complete tales in their own right This book is only even ossible to understand if you have read the trilogy but even upon undertstanding it will add nothin. Exploits' Lyra and her daemon Pantalaimon have left the events of His Dark Materials far behind In this snapshot of their forever changed lives they return to the North to visit an old friendwhere we will learn that things ar.

So so disappointed with this book I was expecting it to be the same as the revious short stories Pure Chance published by Pullman and David Fickling Books Lyra s Oxford and Once upon a Time in the North Those were small cloth bound books with fold out maps This is a standardlastic dust jacket over a small hard back The story was not supplemented by the ticket stubs timetables etc that were in the The Lady and the Lionheart previous stories and I think some of the charm and immersion of these little books was lost without their inclusion This wasublished by Penguin rather than David Fickling but enguin ublish a beautiful line of cloth bound classics so they have roved they can roduce attractive books I can see that the revious stories have been republished in the same format for anyone wanting a matching set but this is definitely not. A story in the Arctic from the world of His Dark Materials and The Book of Dust by master storyteller Philip Pullman 'Lyra Silvertongue you're very welcomeYes I know your new name Serafina Pekkala told me everything about your.
